The picturesque Tanque Verde Valley was settled by ranchers in the 1860's and is surrounded by the strength of the Santa Catalina and Rincon Mountains.  The name Tanque Verde, which means "green tank", was derived from a large water tank in the late 19th century which contained algae.

The residents in the valley established the Tanque Verde School District in 1886. Now educating more than 1,600 students, this  School District continues to
chronicle some of the highest standardized test scores in Arizona.  This community believes strongly in providing educational and personal success to students through state of the art facilities, creativity and innovation.

Becoming a suburb of Tucson by the 1960's, the Tanque Verde Valley has been able to preserve its beauty through covenants designed to control growth and maintain land use.  To this day, the Tanque Verde Valley is considered by many Tucsonans to be the ideal place to live, an oasis to the east of a growing city in the Sonoran Desert.

As a resident of the Tanque Verde Valley, I can provide you with first hand knowledge and expertise of the area and the real estate conditions.  Contact me to find out how I can bring the Tanque Verde Lifestyle to you and your family.
